Devotional: 12th of Teves
Write down the vision clearly on tablets, so that even a runner can read it (Habakkuk 2:2).
Over the past few years, I have met many people who were never able to accomplish the objectives God had set before them. The reason, in many cases, was their failure to develop a workable plan for realizing their vision and communicating that plan effectively to others who could help bring it about.
When the Lord called me to minister in Russia, he simply said, "Go and reach my people." I knew a plan was needed to fulfill God's word to my heart, but the only other clear direction I had was to return to St. Petersburg. So I went, trusting God would tell me more when I got there. He did and, eventually, the Messianic music outreach festivals were born.
However, these festivals didn't just "happen." An organizational structure had to be developed that would be simple, yet would allow as many people as possible to be involved. Then the vision had to be communicated and the laborers had to be gathered. It took enormous work to bring the vision to pass; but, eventually, I saw God's goals realized.
Has God given you a vision? Write it down, articulate it to others, and ask the Lord to give you a clear plan in order to accomplish it. Then step out in faith and be ready to work hard!
...take the first step to fulfilling the vision God has spoken to my heart. "Lord, revive that which you spoke to me long ago; your servant is listening."
