Have you ever done something stupid and just wished you could turn around and erase it from the day?
This is a daily occurrence for me, and I'm sure I'm not alone!
Guess what? That's exactly what God allows us to do. We can talk to him about it and he wipes it out of existence.
I recently attended a worship with the youth from my church and it was "computer-led". There was no song leader, only a band behind a curtain. No speaker, only words on a screen. Pictures, instructions, questions to make us think.
We were led through some questions and images of who Jesus is or how is is perceived. Then we were invited to tour the room where several "worship stations" showed us who Jesus is.
The first station I visited was "Healer", where a note instructed me to rub some cleansing gel on my hands and imagine Jesus healing my spiritual wounds.
Another station was "Friend". There I could write a letter to my Lord describing how he has been a friend to me.
The station that really made an impact on me (even though I have been through similar "stations" before at other youth events) was "Forgiver". Several Magnadoodles were on the table and the note instructed me to write down sinful behavior I was struggling with, talk to Jesus about it, and swipe the board clean.
It brought tears to my eyes to think that my Lord is willing to forgive my careless, indecent and even stupid behavior. He just wipes it away, cleanses it with a drop of His precious blood.
How awesome that our Savior came into the world as a child and it took a child's toy to make me appreciate His sacrifice and forgiveness.
