Psalm of David. I will bless the Lord at all times. Psalm 34:1a There is no circumstance, no trouble, no testing, that can ever touch me until, first of all, it has gone past God and past Christ, right through to me. If it has come that far, it has come with a great purpose, which I may not understand at the moment. But I refuse to become panicky, as I lift up my eyes to Him and accept it as coming from the throne of God for some great purpose of blessing to my own heart. Alan Redpath

His praise shall continually be in my mouth. Psalm 34:1b Let us bless God for the mercies we do not see—the innumerable dangers from which we are preserved—the great needs which are supplied before we know them to be needs! Charles H. Spurgeon, 1834-92

My soul will boast in the Lord; let the afflicted hear and rejoice. Psalm 34:2 We arouse optimism by expressing the hope that God has fostered in our hearts.

O magnify the Lord with me, And let us exalt His name together. Psalm 34:3
Looking to Christ, we are in heart nearer to each other than we could possibly be - were we to become "unity" conscious and turn their eyes away from God to strive for closer fellowship. A. W. Tozer 1897-1963, The Pursuit of God 1948

I sought the Lord, and He answered me, And delivered me from all my fears. Ps34:4

Seek the Lord for courage to ask good questions. Pray for courage to respond to the answers as one hungry to be ruled by truth. “The Voice of the Lord” Lewis and Harriet Lederer Foundation, Inc. Messianic Jewish Publishers
