Living Christ's Righteousness
Date Posted: May 23, 2021

As Christians we all must live and move, exist and act, in the righteous of Jesus Christ. Why? Because we have no righteousness.of our own.

Without His righteousness, we would all be dead, perhaps dead physically except for His mercy in accordance with His plan. Our spirit would be destined for eternal death because of the sin principle in us. Several years ago I entitled this column as I did when I realized that without Christ living His life in us, we are all doomed to death. The first article of the column was entitled "Whole Council Of God". Last week was the firth anniversary of that article. The reason for the title of that first article was that so many seemed to miss the point of Christ's sacrifice and the reason so many where living a living death because they do not comprehend that we cannot become what Christ wants us to become without seeking the whole revelation of God's will for us, no matter how "righteous" we may feel that we are, or have been.

We all have "come short of the glory of God".

God will accept nothing short of perfect righteousness in us before He allows us to live forever in His presence..If we have real faith in Christ, it is counted as His righteousness, even as Abraham's faith was accounted to him as righteousness. But Abraham was not perfect. He was morally and character deficient in many ways. In many ways he also came short of God's glory and righteousness. So, God blessed him in letting him live and grow in his own righteousness unto a "new man". All that time, his faith was growing as the years went by. In the book of Revelation, the Apostle John is given a description of the majesty and holiness of God, His throne and those who serve and magnify Him because He is worthy.

He is Holiness, and Righteousness beyond imagination (Revelation 6).

When God created Adam and Eve, He deliberately allowed them to be tempted and deceived by Satan. God was not surprised by what happened in the garden of Eden. He knows all things from beginning to ending, because He is the source of all things. Even evil things. Satan rebelled and was cast down to earth, all of which was known by God eons before. God knew, and planned for mankind to set about creating his own righteousness. He created mankind with the proclivity to attempt to form himself in the image that exalted himself. Mankind's attempts to find his own perfection was - and is - thwarted by his own limitations. He cannot even live up to his own image by his own ideas of righteousness.

Mankind has been trying all the ideas and options he can find for thousands of years. He is now about to believe he can even create his own immortality according to recent statements by scientists. Some feel they are "closing in" on self made immortality. Why has God allowed all this futility that Solomon speaks of? He is, by giving mankind freedom to pursue all the options he can find, driving mankind to Himself. This will eventually occur. Eventually man will run out of options for everything. His ideas about life, happiness, pleasure, peace, prosperity, will finally pin mankind into a corner, so to speak. There will be no more options.

Finally, mankind will be forced to admit that his way is the wrong way.to anything and everything that mankind really desires. However, many will not admit that only God in Christ has all the answers. They will prefer to die rather than live. Why? Because they will not submit to the righteousness that is available through the One the Father has appointed. .He is the answer to all things regarding the human race.

Before God begins to bring justice upon a world gone mad through Satan's influence, why not seek the complete revelation and wisdom of God? There is a limit to God's patience. God is a God of mercy - and justice. Come to Jesus Christ. Believe Him. He is - and will be - the only hope for mercy.

"Seek, inquire for, and require the Lord while He may be found [claiming Him by necessity and by right]; call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return to the Lord, and He will have love, pity, and mercy for him, and to our God, for He will multiply to him His abundant pardon." - Isaiah 55:6-7 (AMP}
