Time Of The End
Date Posted: June 3, 2018

Have you heard any bad news lately?

Are we entering the “time of the end? Most who are middle age or older have probably heard much regarding the prophesied time of the end…when Jesus returns and prevents the destruction of all mankind.

There is a theory regarding world affairs and their relation to the passing of time. The theory attempts to interpret the history of nations by interpreting events by looking at all world events by using a stair step theory of these events. Using history since Jesus came, world events are measured by ascending stairs steps. As world conditions become more and more chaotic as time goes by, another stare step moves upward. The ascending stairs keep going upward until they begin to crumble to the point of collapse. The collapse indicates the complete destruction of organized society, and, finally the top of the stairs cannot continue any higher.

The entire staircase of world events will come crashing down. World order and human existence ceases, crumbly down into utter destruction.

Much of this “theory” seems to be occurring. However, the theory fails at the last step. Jesus returns, to save mankind from its self. Regardless of the seeming accuracy of the “stair step theory”, Christians know, plainly stated in the Bible, that He will not allow all of humanity to be destroyed. The book of Revelation reveals that all mankind will not be destroyed. Jesus returns and prevents the earth and it's survivors from being destroyed. However, prior to His return, stair steps or not, the earth will be in absolute chaos. Notice what the Bible reveals about these times prior to Jesus’ returns:

“News of one [terrible] disaster comes close after another, For the whole land is devastated; Suddenly my tents are spoiled and destroyed, My [tent] curtains [ruined] in a moment.” - Jeremiah 4:20 (AMP)

“Come [quickly] now, you rich [who lack true faith and hoard and misuse your resources], weep and howl over the miseries [the woes, the judgments] that are coming upon you. Your wealth has rotted and is ruined and your [fine] clothes have become moth-eaten. Your gold and silver are corroded, and their corrosion will be a witness against you and will consume your flesh like fire. You have stored up your treasure in the last days [when it will do you no good]. Look! The wages that you have [fraudulently] withheld from the laborers who have mowed your fields are crying out [against you for vengeance]; and the cries of the harvesters have come to the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth. On the earth you have lived luxuriously and abandoned yourselves to soft living and led a life of wanton pleasure [self-indulgence, self-gratification]; you have fattened your hearts in a day of slaughter. - James 5:1-3

“[ The Time of the End ] “Now at that [end] time Michael, the great [angelic] prince who stands guard over the children of your people, will arise. And there will be a time of distress such as never occurred since there was a nation until that time; but at that time your people, everyone who is found written in the Book [of Life], will be rescued. Many of those who sleep in the dust of the ground will awake (resurrect), these to everlasting life, but some to disgrace and everlasting contempt (abhorrence). Those who are [spiritually] wise will shine brightly like the brightness of the expanse of heaven, and those who lead many to righteousness, [will shine] like the stars forever and ever. …”

“If anyone is destined for captivity, he will go into captivity; if anyone kills with a sword, he must be killed with a sword. Here is [the call for] the patient endurance and the faithfulness of the saints [which is seen in the response of God’s people to difficult times]”- Revelation 13:10

However, notice the GOOD NEWS at the time of the end!

““Now at that [end] time Michael, the great [angelic] prince who stands guard over the children of your people, will arise. …” - Daniel 12:1-3 (AMP)

Do you want to shine as a star forever? If so, repent of your sins, and believe in Jesus Christ as your savior. And…trust in Him with every “step” in your life…?
