Now, the sacrifice that Jesus made willingly of His lifeblood was to satisfy the Law. It paid for all the sins ever to be committed, from Adam until the end of time.

From verse 14 through 23, the Hebrews’ author describes the reason for sacrifices. Then in Hebrews 9:24 For Christ did not enter into the Holy of Holies made by hands, types of the true things, but into Heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God on our behalf, Not so that He should offer Himself over and over, but once and for all as a Testimony in the Heavenly Court of Law that the Law was satisfied, once and for all.

Before that happened, no human soul could enter into God's presence. It was a matter of Law, not Grace. It is precisely why God provided the other half of Hades, the Comfort Side or Paradise which Jesus tells us about in Luke 16. In Hebrews 10:12 But He, offering but one sacrifice for sins, "sat down" in perpetuity "at the right hand" of God.

Until Jesus sat down at the right hand of God, we could not enter God's presence. Jesus’ resurrection was the single sign that all debt had been paid. If there was just one sin that had not been paid for, Jesus would have remained locked in the grave.

“How do you know that?” I can hear you asking.

I know because He would never have possession of the Keys of Death and of Hades (Revelation 1:18) if He had not completely paid the debt in full. This single statement identifies the complete authority Jesus has over the physical world and the spiritual realm. He can release whomever He pleases and He can lock up whomever He deems because He was dead and now He lives and is alive forevermore, the first fruits of the Resurrection. Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 15 that His resurrection was the victory over death and over sin.

Because the wages of sin is death, Jesus was raised for our justification. Justification was purely a matter of Law. Look up the different translations and then look at the original Greek. A bull was sacrificed to “cover” the sins of the person sacrificing the bull. Jesus’ sacrifice not only covered the sins of man from God’s sight, but also was the only perfect gift that God would accept to permanently reconcile an individual with Himself, God Almighty.

When Jesus settled the debt for mankind, He became the Door which opens into Heaven. When He rose from the dead, He was given complete authority over all things in Heaven and on Earth, in the spiritual realm and in the physical realm. This means He gives the right to everyone (all humans everywhere) to be saved. He is the Promise Door to Heaven. God promises because Jesus paid the ultimate price that all can enter, in fact Peter extols the fact that God greatly desires all to come to Him and that none should perish.

There is a condition that turns the door knob, so to speak. The condition is that a person must first believe God exists (Romans 1), a person must believe Jesus (John 3), and that’s it. The condition never negates the fact the debt is paid. There is no such thing as universal salvation. The condition never negates the fact of the Door into Heaven which leads to the Throne Room of Heaven, literally into the presence of God Himself. The Promise is in the Blood of Christ and was made evident since Genesis 3. We have proof that God keeps all His promises. We only need to read Deuteronomy to know that God's blessings are conditional, so the fact that Salvation is conditional should be no surprise.
