Relationships of The Heart w/ Nancy

A Saturated World
Date Posted: November 1, 2009

The world has become saturated with information. Websites, e-mails, relational networking sites, mobile phones, text messaging, the list goes on and on. In the life of many, they have become part of our day to day life and a necessity. Businesses around the world communicate with each other. Those in various christian ministries communicate with each other and are able to partner with each other in ways that were impossible in the past. The gospel is alive and well in the land of information overload. In the midst of this, we must remember there are times that we must step away from all of the fast paced communication and spend time with the Lord. It is important that we shut off our computer, quiet the mobile phone, and send no text messages. The time away from our communication tools, can become a time that God can use to speak into our life, whether through the word, a prompting from the Holy Spirit, or through listening to music.

Life Questions To Ponder-

Read- 1 Kings 19:11-13 (The Quiet Voice), Psalm 62:1-2 (Waiting Quietly), Mark 1:35-39 (Going alone), Mark 6:45-46 (Alone to pray)

Encouragement- Step out in faith today and ask the Lord to guide you in setting up a schedule, that includes a day away from constant communication. Spend this day in communion with the Lord through the word and prayer.
