Last night we received a phone call at home from a good friend of ours who has been wrestling with a career decision for the past few weeks; and after much prayer, thought and counsel he has opted to accept the new position. He is at peace about his decision and he is anxious for a new chapter in his life to begin.
How many times have you come to a crossroads and wondered which way to turn - this job or that job, this person or that person, stay or move? How often have you been faced with a circumstance you didn't know how to handle regarding a child, a spouse, or a coworker?
If you've been there, you know what it's like to want wisdom. "What should I do?" is the cry from our heart at those times.
So often, we cry out for wisdom, beg for it, think maybe we've received it...then doubt it!
If you ask for wisdom, believe you're going to receive it and then look for it. Otherwise, you'll be 'like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.' And you'll feel as if your prayer was never answered.
