Word from Nairnshire

Many look all over the place for quick instant answers to life’s problems and predicaments, whilst being highly suspicious of God’s sure solutions to life’s questions, dilemmas and difficulties.

Why does doubting man hesitate to take God’s ways?

Man will struggle with unworkable attempts to resolve conflicts, running up roads with dead ends, and go on living with continuous frustration and futility.

Referring to Jesus Christ, that leader, Peter, wrote to those who believed, describing Jesus as a precious stone, and he was not meaning a gem stone, but a solid rock on which you could stand when a torrent was raging around you.

Peter knew what it was to experience raging torrents.

These words are written for a very specific purpose, as is every part of the Word of God.

What are you looking for today? There is no one who offers people so much as Jesus Christ holds out to those who are seeking and searching for answers.

Pardon, forgiveness, mercy and peace are available to very ordinary people.

Peter, who was called by the Galilean Lakeside, denied Jesus three times, and was forgiven and restored.

Here he is, some thirty years later, serving faithfully, teaching profound truths to encourage and strengthen disciples of Jesus who were going through hard times.

Peter got so many things wrong in his early days, but he grew and developed and matured.

Who am I? What am I doing? Where am I going? How can I handle what is facing me, financially, morally, spiritually?

Identities used to be mapped out clearly. Gender roles in jobs, at work, were simple and straight, but not so in today’s allegedly progressive society.

Peter can help. You were created by God, for communion with Him. You have not emerged by accident.
