CAN YOU SPELL?

John 14:21-28

Can you spell? Do you know the other way of spelling love? Put the “o” first, then a “b,” an “e,” and a “y,” and you get the practical day-by-day meaning. Yet “obey” doesn’t mean merely doing things. Obedience is the rhythm of our wills with Jesus’ will. It opens the way for him to pour out the ful­ness of his love, and this in turn stirs ours to a new depth and tenderness. Let us learn the spelling that links our lives to his.
