Heart to Heart

No Boundaries

I was pleasantly surprised by all the e-mails that I received after last week’s devotional. Many of you wrote encouraging notes that left my spirit soaring. Others had me laughing hysterically (thanks Bob from Texas); while still others had the boldness to write a perfect stranger to let me know that you are now in the spot where I use to be—a place filled with sorrow. Please know that I feel your pain, and trust that God is already working out His mighty plan for you. I pray that as you walk through this wilderness, you will find the strength you need for each and every day. And one day you will be able to say with confidence: You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy. Psalm 30:11. This is my deepest heart’s desire for you.

I find it amazing what a link the internet has become for the Body of Christ. It is definitely a tool that God has allowed the church to use in order for us to minister to one another more effectively. I think back a couple of years ago when I was walking through my own valley feeling very alone and isolated. It was during this time that God lead me to the internet where I found some awesome Godly people who were able to minister to me and meet me right where I was at. Every time I received an e-mail, or a phone call, or even a visit to my hometown (Yes, a pastor from Phoenix Arizona who I found on the internet came and ministered to me and my family for over a week in 2008) from one of these kind folks, my spirit was lifted. I am forever grateful for the World Wide Web. It makes me realize that there really are no boundaries in the Kingdom of God. We might be separated by land and sea, but never in heart. For our common bond is our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who we try to serve faithfully each and every day of our lives. To Him be the glory!

Let’s encourage each other every day. Do this while it is "today.

“Help each other so that none of you will become hardened

because of sin and the way sin fools people.

Hebrews 3:13

If I can encourage you in any way, please e-mail me at heartotheart@bex.net. I would love to hear from you!

From my heart to yours,

Pat
