Living in fog
Date Posted: July 31, 2022

One of my favorite weather scenes is fog of a morning. I love the mysterious tendrils as they swirl about me as I walk through the morning. The chill of the air, the soft bird songs as the world waits expectantly for something wonderful to happen. Then the sun lift its head over the tree tops and stretches out its rays to wrap around the fog transforming the morning into something so crisp and bright.

Fog has a marvelous way of touching every molecule of your being and even penetrating the recesses of your clothing, weighing it down just enough so you’ll know you’ve been fogged. Too often, we see the fog and not the things the fog touches. Too often, we struggle and strain to see beyond the fog rather than seeing how wonderfully the fog transforms the trees, dresses the grass, kisses the flowers, and softens harsh sounds.

Next time you wake up to a fog drenched morning, be sure and think about how the Favor Of God drenches believers in His blessings and holiness. The Favor Of God is moisture rich with the living water. Remember also that just two cups of water can drench .5 square mile with fog. Amazing what just an ounce of Favor of God can do for all those we meet in our daily work and play. It is never intrusive, but is available to all to embrace, and it is visible to all who will notice. Remember if the FOG is not evident, then the Son is always present.
