Refreshment in Refuge

Lord, help me to relax about insignificant details beginning tomorrow at 7:41:23 a.m. p.s.t.
Lord, help me to consider people's feelings, even if most of them are hypersensitive.
Lord, help me to take responsibility for my own actions, even though they're usually not my fault.
Lord, help me to not try to run everything. But, if You need some help, please feel free to ask me!
Lord, help me to be more laid back and help me to do it exactly right.
Lord, help me to take things more seriously, especially laughter, parties, and dancing.
Lord, give me patience, and I mean right now!
Lord, help me not be a perfectionist. (Did I spell that correctly?)
Lord, help me to finish everything I sta
Lord, help me to keep my mind on one th -- Look a bird -- ing at a time.
Lord, help me to do only what I can, and trust you for the rest. And would you mind putting that in writing?
Lord, keep me open to others' ideas, wrong though they may be.
Lord, help me be less independent, but let me do it my way.
Lord, help me follow established procedures today. On second thought, I'll settle for a few minutes.
Lord, help me slow down andnotrushthroughwhatIdo.
Editor's Note: Found in old, old papers. I have no idea who wrote it, but it's great to remember how we can seem to be praying, but actually we are ordering God around. He actually did put everything we need in writing, and signed it in the blood of His Son, Jesus. Praise God from whom all blessings flow. Praise Him that we do not have to remember everything, do everything, be everything. Praise Him that we can rest in Him, and there is such comfort in the fact He takes very good care of His own. Amen!
Then again, David never had a problem scrutinizing his own actions and asking God to guard against them...
Give Ear to My Voice - Psalm 141
A David psalm. GOD, come close. Come quickly! Open your ears—it's my voice you're hearing!
Treat my prayer as sweet incense rising; my raised hands are my evening prayers.
Post a guard at my mouth, GOD, set a watch at the door of my lips.
Don't let me so much as dream of evil or thoughtlessly fall into bad company. And these people who only do wrong— don't let them lure me with their sweet talk!
May the Just One set me straight, may the Kind One correct me, Don't let sin anoint my head. I'm praying hard against their evil ways!
Oh, let their leaders be pushed off a high rock cliff; make them face the music.
Like a rock pulverized by a maul, let their bones be scattered at the gates of hell.
But GOD, dear Lord, I only have eyes for you. Since I've run for dear life to you, take good care of me.
Protect me from their evil scheming, from all their demonic subterfuge.
Let the wicked fall flat on their faces, while I walk off without a scratch. (The Message)
