Why I believe in eternal security
Date Posted: March 18, 2018

1 Peter 1
5 who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

John 10
28 and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand.

Philippians 4
7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

John 6
37 "All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out.
39 "This is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all that He has given Me I lose nothing, but raise it up on the last day.

Jude
24Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy,

Romans 8
38 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,
39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

When God's power comes in and transforms...how can a New Creature act habitually differently than his newly created nature? Absolutely we Christians have periods of doubt and times when we lack faith. But when we are faithless, He remains faithful because He cannot deny Himself. (2 Timothy 2:13) When He abides in us, we cannot help but abide in Him. That is how we become New Creatures and how we have the Mind of Christ. Because the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in us, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to our mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in us. All that power that raised Jesus is alive and active within us to keep us from falling away.
