Relationships of The Heart w/ Nancy

Contrary to the world's way of thinking as a Christian there are times that going back is going forward. Do you remember Moses? God kept sending him back again and again to speak to Pharaoh and tell him, "Let my people go!" Can you imagine being in Moses shoes? He knew in advance that each time he returned to speak to Pharoah he was to speak the same words and his request would be denied. Yet, Moses was not abandoned by God!
Eventually the time arrived and Pharaoh gave permission to Moses to take the people and go. I'll bet Moses may have been wiping his brow and sighing, "Thank you Lord!" Yet, it wasn't long and Moses found out once again, that they weren't going anywhere! In the midst of it all I wonder if Moses remembered God's promises to him?
God's Promise; Exodus 3:9-10, The cries of the people of Israel have reached me, and I have seen how the Egyptians have oppressed them with heavy tasks. Now go, for I am sending you to Pharaoh. You will lead the people, the Israelites, out of Egypt. (NLT)
God's Promise; Exodus 3:16(b) He said, "You can be sure that I am watching over you and have seen what is happening to you in Egypt. v.17- I promise to rescue you from the oppression of the Egyptians. I will lead you to the land now occupied by the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites--a land flowing with milk and honey."
God's Promise; Exodus 3:19-20, But I know that the king of Egypt will not let you go except under heavy pressure. So I WILL reach out and strike at the heart of Egypt with all kinds of miracles. Then at last he WILL let you go.
God's Promise; Exodus 3:21(a) And I will see to it that the Egyptians treat you well.
Eventually after the death of his son, Pharoah finally let the Israelites go. Exodus 12:31, Pharaoh sent for Moses and Aaron during the night. "Leave us!" he cried. "Go away, all of you!" Go and serve the Lord as you have requested!"
If you are reading this today and feel as if God has forgotten you, remember his words to the Israelites are also for you, "You can be sure that God is watching over you and has seen what is happening to you."
