Relationships of The Heart w/ Nancy

It's Not Always Easy, Suffering
Date Posted: August 9, 2009

It's not always easy to move forward in tough times. I am sure many reading this from around the world, can attest to tough times in their life, prior to the global financial problems that exist today. You are the people that have learned in the fires of life, how to survive in tough times. As gold is purified in the fire you have a peace that many may not be experiencing. The words in Romans 5;1-5 are words that are no longer only words on a page, but speak to your life as an individual.

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Chrsit, through whom we have gained acces by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perservance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given to us. Romans 5:1-5

According to scripture other Christians around us or those in the world are not the one's who can produce perseverance, character and hope in us. Yes, others can point out that we are lacking perseverance, character and hope, but the deep long lasting change in our life, according to scripture, comes from walking through suffering. The suffering in partnership with the Holy Spirit produces the long lasting change in our life.

Prayer- Lord, if anyone reading this is in the midst of suffering, I ask that they come to you in prayer and ask for your strength to pour into them as they walk through this fire of life. May they not forget that you are with them and they are not abandoned. Bless, my friends today with a peace that can only come from you. Bring brothers and sisters in Christ into their life to walk along side of them and encourage them on this path we call life. In the precious, precious name of Jesus. Amen!
