Thankfulness Leads To Repentance
Date Posted: September 26, 2011

Lately God is doing a new thing in my life. As in all new things that arrive there are changes that happen along the way. Today, when I opened my eyes, my first thoughts were the word thankfulness. This thankfulness was for the wonderful Leaders God placed in my life in the past and that are in my life today. A few hours later the thankfulness turned into repentance.

The repentance for me was for not being thankful for all people, but specifically for the leaders God places in my life. The area God specifically placed his finger on in my life is the time that leaders spent with me through the years and in my world today. There are those that are no longer in my life, those who were in my life for a short time and those who I am just getting to know. At this moment I am thankful for them all. I now see this as God's favor on my life. I do not believe this happened and is happening because of who I am, but because God so chose and chooses to connect me with those who live the crucified life as they live out the call.

A final thought; The one thing I do know for sure is that if we are open, God will show us our sin. My heart is to live a life style open before God to hear from him. Even in the areas where it is necessary for me to make adjustments. In this type of life style there is freedom.

In thankfulness, I end this letter ready to continue on the path that God places before me.

In a surge of anger I hid my face from you for a moment, but with everlasting kindness I will have compassion on you, says the Lord your Redeemer. Isaiah 54:7-8 New International Version.
