The Three Relationships
Date Posted: May 4, 2014

There are three relationships in the life of a Christian that are important. We are to allow God to transform us as we live out these three relationships. They are not to be lived out in a linear fashion. Instead they are to be lived out in a wholistic manner. In a similiar fashion like breathing in and out, yet in an intentional manner.

1- Our Relationship with Jesus Christ.

2- Our Relationship with other believers in Jesus Christ. (In Community)

3- Our Relationship with those who do not believe in Jesus Christ.

As we read through the bible we find a book that is filled with relationships from Genesis to Revelation. Have you ever read the bible from the view that the people we read about in this precious word of God were people that are just like us? They lived in a different time and culture, but just like us they were created by God! They were in relationship with one another.

It is good for us to take time to review our relationships in the three areas I mention.

1- Are we spending time with Christ? (In prayer, the word, meditation, along with living with the desire to live God's way and not our own?)

2- Are we in community with other believers, and living out our relationships in a manner that is pleasing to God?

3- Are we in relationships with anyone who does not believe as we do, in Jesus Christ? Or are we content, living a life only connecting with those who believe exactly as we do?
