Surrendered to Love

Love Causes Us To Rejoice
Date Posted: October 18, 2011

In each of our lives, we go through experiences that cause us to make choices either for God or not. His Word tells us that each day is one that He has made and that it is a day to rejoice. He causes each sunset to give way to a new sunrise that brings us fresh opportunities for obedience in areas both small and large. We have opportunities each day to surrender to love.
Obedience will cause us to rejoice. The Word that is hidden in our hearts is to rule our emotions, without questioning the relevance or reasons we are simply to rejoice. However, when the days in our lives come that threaten to topple the tranquility of the life we enjoy what gives us balance and stabilizes our hearts? Nothing but the Word of God that we have hidden in our heart that rises to quiet the straying thoughts in our heads that threaten to take us way off course.
Rejoice and be exceedingly glad is what the apostle Peter tells us when we face trials and hardships. Our hearts will be able to rejoice when we make the choice to worship our unchanging God of mercy and might, compassion and companionship.

His friendship, His loving touch, His spoken words, His whispered encouragement and comfort all come to mean so much more than anything outside of Him can bring to us. He is worthy of our praise and adoration, worthy of our worship and exultation regardless and in spite of anything we see in the natural areas of our life.
Repeatedly His word proclaims that He has goodness stored up for those who love and trust Him. God has such a precious steadfast love for us, He takes great pleasure in the prosperity of His children and we are prosperous when we wait for Him and hope in His mercy and unfailing loving kindness.

The deepest core of our being waits earnestly and expectantly for the Lord for He has promised to be our Help and our Shield. We can rejoice because we are one with Him.
Let us never grow weary in waiting upon Him for His mercy and loving kindness is upon us in proportion to our waiting and hoping for Him. We can rejoice in our afflictions for it is the very same things that cause us to look, hope for and wait upon our God.
In the good times of our life, let us not allow complacency to reign in our attitudes but instead let God arise so that the enemies of our soul are scattered. Let God arise in our soul so that we can look about and see His salvation taking place. He is even now encamped round about us, He is even now instructing us in righteousness and truth so that we are living to bring pleasure to the heart of the One who loves us so.

When troubles come in our lives instead of being troubled and ultimately slain by them, let faith well up from deep within and know without doubt that this is not a trouble unto death but rather it is a Call to Arms. It is a call to unity within my own tent so that my arms can be linked to another; free to hold on because I am holding nothing but the power of God in my life.
It is a Call to Arms within the body, to weep with those who weep and to rejoice with those who rejoice, to cover the back of a fellow servant, to intercede, to strengthen and do our part in protecting them. The Call to Arms is the Call to Unity.

Jesus longs for us to be one as He and the Father are One. When we learn how to be consistent in practicing the art of yielding, we will find that we are learning like Jesus, submission and obedience with joy for in that way we enter deeper into sonship. We will have completely surrendered to love.
We must learn in the times of trials to bow down before the Father and not buckle under imagined strain or the very real stresses of life for the Father Himself has told us to cast all of our cares upon His shoulders, and He will shoulder the load for us.

It is the natural reaction of our flesh to fear, to fabricate lies and to fall into the sin of fretting. When our hearts are one with the Father, we will have an understanding how Jesus had unity in His spirit, soul and body; He was completely focused on obedience to His Father. When He despaired over what was happening before going to the Cross, He laid His life before the Father and His Father gave Him hope by showing Him a picture of each one of us. You and I are precious jewels in His crown, and we are engraved in the palm of His hand and holds us there forever close to His heart.
