and give it to me now!

Have you ever asked for 'patience'?

Have you ever prayed this prayer during an anxious moment..."Lord, give me patience...NOW!"

Have you ever taken a crash-course on patience?

Do interruptions, inconveniences, and irritations test your patience?

Well...I've learned, and I'm sure that you have too, that life is full of interruptions, inconveniences, and irritations . . .
The late night phone call after a car accident!
A note from your child's teacher!
Your boss calls you into his office!
You take your car to the mechanic for repairs...and they don't fix it!
Sometimes it makes you want to change the words of that grand old hymn "When We All Get To Heaven"... to "When All But YOU Get To Heaven"!

The key to overcoming these trials is a fruit of the Holy Spirit...patience! It is virtually impossible to live your life His way without this Spirit-given virtue.

James 1:2-3 reminds us..."Dear brothers and sisters, whenever trouble comes your way, let it be an opportunity for joy. For when your faith is tested, your patience has a chance to grow."

Keep that in mind the next time that the trials of life are trying to trip you . . . patience is being developed in YOU!

I really like this quote that I read once..."Patience is accepting a difficult situation without giving God a deadline to handle it." And, then cherish these words from the Old Testament book of Psalms . . .
"Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him." - Psalm 37:7
