and the verdict is...

Have you ever failed God ... repeatedly?

Have you ever wondered how God reacts when you fail?

Do you ever feel like everything is going along just fine and then satan sneaks in and knocks you down flatter than a flitter by reminding you of your horrendous failures? He is such an expert at making us feel worthless, guilty and not deserving of God's love, grace and forgiveness.

Whenever these moments overwhelm you...take a l-o-n-g look at John 8:11.

Jesus is speaking to the woman caught in the act of adultery. He speaks lovingly to her and says..."I don't judge you guilty. You may go now, but don't sin anymore."

I think we should all have those words framed and hanging on the wall in our home, office, school . . .

My favorite author, Max Lucado, wrote these words in regard to John 8:11..."Take Him with you to your canyon of shame. Invite Christ to journey with you...to stand beside you as you retell the events of the darknest nights of your soul.

And then listen. Listen carefully.
He's speaking..."I don't judge you guilty."

And watch. Watch carefully.
He's writing. He's leaving a message. Not in the sand, but on a cross.

Not with His hand, but with His blood.

His message has two words. NOT GUILTY!"

May these two powerful words from Jesus Christ bring to you today some powerful encouragement!

Live as one who is not burdened down with guilt. You are NOT GUILTY!

Praise God from whom all blessings flow!!!
