Telephone, Television, Tell-a-friend!
Date Posted: October 22, 2003

A famous writer once remarked that he never bothered to read the newspaper or watch the news on television because if something important were to happen, he knew his friends would tell him about it! Can you believe it? He was trusting his friends to keep him 'in the know' regarding the important events of everyday life.

But what happens if his friends let him down? What happens if his friends let some important news just slip by? What happens if his friends get too busy and don't bother to clue him in to the latest news?

The most important, earth-shattering, life-changing news of all time is the saving message of Jesus Christ. And yet, many Christians simply take this information for granted, never bother to 'spread the Word". Now - why is that?

Some may feel that their friends have had other opportunities to hear the news about Jesus Christ?
Some may say that they're not very good at explaining the Bible...so maybe someone else should tell them the Good News?

Charles Stanley said, "It is truly amazing that we can seek out people with whom to discuss entertainment and politics but hestitate to open our mouths about the most important event in the history of the world!"

Do YOU have a friend waiting for YOU to share this wonderful news with them? What are YOU waiting for?

Romans 10:14 asks an excellent question: "How will people know about Jesus if no one tells them?"

The choice is yours . . . be just another voiceless Christian OR spread the news that Jesus saves!!

As the old church camp chorus goes..."I'll shout it from the mountain-top! I want the world to know that the Lord of love has come to me...I WANT TO PASS IT ON!!"
