On September 18,2004 at 9:08 a.m. Sharon and I welcomed GRACE EVELYN JEFFERY into our hearts! Our second beautiful grandbaby! I invite you to join with us in celebrating this precious child that God has brought into our lives.
My beautiful Grace Evelyn!
We couldn't believe our ears when in the winter months of 2004 your mommy and daddy shared the news that they were expecting a second child! Immediately...we were in love with you and for the next several months we anxiously awaited your arrival! Early on Saturday morning, September 18, your mommy & daddy called and told us to come to the hospital so that we could meet you. When we arrived at the hospital and saw you for the first time...we were hopelessly in love! To hold you and to stroke your gorgeous dark black hair, to touch your smooth complexion, to take my finger and trace your tiny fingers and toes . . . I just wanted to shout to God and express my gratitude to the Creator of all life!
Grace, I want you to know that you are a very, very special child for many reasons.
First of all...you are special because God loves you! The Scriptures promise us that God saw you before He ever began to weave you together in your mommy's womb. God's love for you is indescribable and unsurpassed!
You are special because of your name. GRACE EVELYN JEFFERY! Your first name is from one of your daddy's aunts. Your middle name was my mother's first name. What a special woman she was and she would have been a wonderful great-grandmother! Great-Grandma Evelyn passed away in 1981...but I will tell you all about her and how incredible she was. AND...you will get to meet her someday in heaven! Your last name is special because that directly relates to the Jeffery family. And you have been privileged to be born into a wonderful, loving, Christian family!
You are special because God has chosen you to be raised & loved by incredible parents! Your mommy & daddy (Cliff & Kristen) love each other so very much, they love Kayla Ann (your big sister) incredibly, and now -- they open their arms and hearts to love you with an everlasting, unconditional love! Most importantly...your mommy & daddy love Jesus Christ with all their heart, mind, soul and strength. You are very blessed to have Cliff & Kristen as your daddy & mommy!
You are special because you will enjoy growing up with a sweet big sister! We've been loving on Kayla Ann since her blessed arrival on June 12,2003 ... she is absolutely a sweetheart! She is precious, beautiful and full of life! I'm confident you and your big sister are going to have years of fun & laughter & love!
You are special because Gampy (that's me!), Nana (that's grandma Sharon), and Auntie K (that's Kendra)...we only live 20 minutes from you! We are especially blessed because we have abundant opportunities to love on you, play with you, spoil you, give you special treats, have you over to spend the night, celebrate special holidays and events with you. It's going to be a blast! Grace - - I'll let you in on a secret...your Nana is fabulous!! God made her specifically to be a Nana!!!!! AND...your Auntie K will never grow tired of playing with you and making you laugh. She will love you to pieces!! And just wait until you discover all the love I have for you!!!
You are special because you have been born into a family of Christians! I believe that every member of your family (on both your mommy & daddy's sides are all Christians). What a fantastic blessing!! That means that your cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, etc. - they all love and serve the same Lord & Savior! This is an immearsurable blessing!
You are special because you are also going to be surrounded by a loving Christian family! Your mommy & daddy will be taking you to Bible School and church each & every week. You will meet wonderful Christian people, you'll meet new friends to play with, you'll hear awesome stories from the Bible, you'll learn to sing praise songs to Jesus, and you'll discover the joy of surrendering your sweet life to the very One who gave you life!
Grace - you are precious & beautiful & extremely blessed. Blessed...because you are totally and completely surrounded with abounding love!

He serves as the Senior Pastor with southwest Virginia church... a loving church family in Abingdon.
He and his wife Sharon have been married for over 27 years and are the proud parents of two beautiful daughters, one son-in-law, and two precious grandchildren, the second arrived arrived on the scene in September 2004!!
