What do You Need to Do?
Date Posted: January 26, 2005

Is God calling you to do something in your life? Has He prompted you to serve Him in the church? Your work place? Your home? Do you have a gift for teaching, writing, prayer or do you have creative gifts that could bring glory to His kingdom?

Obviously, the apostle Paul had some gifts and countless opportunities to serve God...and he could have bragged about it. Yet listen to what he says in Philippians 3:7...

"I once thought all these things were so very important, but now I consider them worthless because of what Christ has done." (NLT)

Here's what Paul is saying..."Here is the goal that surpasses any other goal I might have, that I may know Jesus in the power of His resurrection to the absolute fullness of my potential. As a servant of God - I will rely upon completely on Him." It was this passion, this conquering spirit from God, that allowed Paul to achieve things beyond his human capacity.

HERE'S THE WONDERFUL NEWS FOR YOU AND ME!! With God's hand of strength upon us, we, too, can accomplish great and mighty things for His kingdom. The key is placing our trust exclusively in Him. By the way, be prepared...His path for our lives and ministry may require working harder, stretching our boundaries, and leaving our 'comfort zones'.

Ask yourself...

What could I accomplish in the next year of my life if I knew that I would not fail? Is there anything too difficult for God?

As my daddy says, "Hang on to your fork! The best is yet to come!!"

And it is...through the strength & grace of our empowering God!!!!
