With God...
Date Posted: February 23, 2005

While visiting a local Christian bookstore recently I noticed that they have t-shirts, calendars, mugs and bookmarks that were inscribed with this familiar Scripture verse..."With God, all things are possible." - Matthew 19:26.

These items are meant to cheerfully remind us of God's awesome power. But really...do we actually believe it? Do we honestly believe that ALL things are possible with God?

If all things were actually possible with God - then He is limited by nothing! Not by tragedy, fear, sin, or even death. As a Believer - I know this is true...but if you're like me I often find that on my daily journey in life I fail to depend on my very capable & powerful Lord for assistance.

Why do I do that?

Most likely because my knowledge of God is so confined that I can't completely comprehend His magnificent power and unfathomable resources. I tend to hopelessly think..."How can God possibly get me out of this situation?"...and then I trudge forward trying to do and figure everything out on my own strength.

Ugh! What a disaster!!

Know this...GOD IS GREATER THAN ANY CIRCUMSTANCE, PERSON, OR POWER IN THIS WORLD!!

He has the ultimate authority over every living thing.
He can heal your pain.
He can remove your depression.
He can create victories and blessings from devastation.

Won't you, this day, open your heart and mind to His all-encompassiong power and love. Nothing is overwhelming to God. So lift up your deepest needs, your greatest desires, and your biggest fears to Him.

Today...claim His promise that is found in Ephesians 3:20 ..."Our God is able to accomplish infinitely more than we would ever dare to ask or hope."

"'Winging It" from Stan Smith
