Psalms 91:10
Date Posted: March 17, 2024

'There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. ' Psalm 91:10 KJV

A key factor in the ability to believe this verse true is to have a deep and personal understanding of God’s love for you. God’s love and our fear are polar opposites of each other. The level of fear you experience in life tells the level of your belief in God’s love for you.

'There is no fear in love [dread does not exist]. But perfect (complete, full-grown) love drives out fear, because fear involves [the expectation of divine] punishment, so the one who is afraid [of God’s judgment] is not perfected in love [has not grown into a sufficient understanding of God’s love]. ' 1 John 4:18 AMP

God is love and He is love perfected. He expressed His perfect love in creating us. God has a vested interest in us. He created us for Himself. 'The beasts of the field will honor Me, Jackals and ostriches, because I have given waters in the wilderness and rivers in the desert, To give drink to My people, My chosen. The people whom I formed for Myself will make known My praise. ' Isaiah 43:20-21 AMP

For God to neglect taking care of you would go against His very nature.

Let me put it this way.

People who fully restore cars see the original value and beauty in the cars.

Restored cars bring pleasure to people. Restored cars can bring up good memories from childhood. Restored cars can increase the value of the car. Restored cars are conversation starters and can lead to friendships.

There’s another side to restoring cars. It can be costly, time-consuming, and emotionally draining. To fully restore a car, you will have to be fully committed to the process. You will have to replace, revamp, or rejuvenate every part of the car to bring it to full restoration to look, feel, and drive like it is brand new.

This is, metaphorically, what God the Father does for us. The moment we receive Jesus as our Savior, ask for the forgiveness of our sins, commit our life to Him, we are a new creation. We are better than a brand new car, hot off the factory line. Because of this, we are subject to a lifetime warranty with God. The warranty promises the Lord’s peace, protection, and provision all the days of our life.

The process of restoration for us is a lifetime event. The Father continually works in us so we can know Him more and trust in His lifetime warranty. It's His Word. It's His promises.

I will leave you with this word.

He has said, “I will never [under any circumstances] desert you [nor give you up nor leave you without support, nor will I in any degree leave you helpless], nor will I forsake or let you down or relax My hold on you [assuredly not]!” So we take comfort and are encouraged and confidently say, “The Lord is my Helper [in time of need], I will not be afraid. What will man do to me ?” Hebrews 13:5‭b-‬6 AMP
