I can'ts takes no more!
Date Posted: February 15, 2009

Have you ever heard the saying, "I tooks and I tooks until I can'ts takes no more! Ya know when you feel like you have come to the end of your rope, like you cannot go one more step with out a breakthrough, or a miracle or something! When you feel like if I don't see something positive, a glimmer of hope, a smidgen of relief on the horizion? Have you ever been there? Where it seems like every care of your family, your church, your job, your money, your EVERYTHING has fallen on your shoulders and you can't get them off?

What do you do then? How do you get the pressure off? A lot of people run to the world to try to lift off the pressure. Some hit the bottle, some run to people they shouldn't, some gambling, others use drugs and even sex to temporarily cause you to forget your tons of problems. So is their a better answer that has the same or better results than these?

YES, YES, and YES! Run to the hiding place of God's power. He has power available to help you lift the pressure off. It is called the anointing of God. When Saul was tormented by evil spirits David would play music and bring the anointing and it brought relief. Jesus said the anointing would lift the burden and destroy the yoke. So how do I get the anointing? There are a lot of ways to get under the anointing. Put on some praise and worship music and shut yourself off from the world for an hour or two and just listen to praise and worship. Sing unto the Lord. I am not just saying things here. This really works. Pray in the Holy Ghost. If you don't know how to pray in tongues or don't believe in that then CRY OUT TO GOD FOR HIS MERCY. He wants to meet you right where you are. Hit your knees and throw your pride aside and tell God how desperately you need him and a breakthrough.

Tell the devil to take a hike and command your mind to get quiet before God. Do you know your thoughts can speak so loud to you that you can hear nothing else. This is not what God wants. He wants you to have a quiet heart before Him so he can speak to you and you can hear him. He wants to minister the healing oil of the Holy Spirit to you. Another way is start laughing. Laugh out loud. Laugh at what, you ask? Laugh at the devil. How stupid he is. Tell him to read the back of the book, he loses! That is something to shout about! Laugh at yourself. Tell yourself, "self this too shall pass, tomorrow will come and I wont' feel this bad. So I laugh at myself. I refuse to take myself so serious or my problems that it brings depression. Speak to yourself. You have authority over your own thoughts. In Psalms He said Bless the Lord oh my soul and all that is with in me Bless His Holy Name. What is your soul? It is partly your emotions. Tell them bless the Lord. It is hard to bless the Lord and be down at the same time. You can only be thinking on one thing at a time. Let it be the goodness of God. Don't let yourself get dragged down by depressing thoughts and moods.

Turn on the lights, Don't sit in darkness, even naturally. Tell God thank you for your mercy and his grace. Grace, Grace and more grace. (GRACE- God's ability working for you and in you when your own ability is at its end. When you have no more striength, no more gas to run on. Gods grace kicks in and boosts you on.) He freely freely freely gives it! Who am I preaching too? ME, ME and ME! We all come to the place where we "feel" like its over. Where we "feel" no hope. But I am here to tell you. Tomorrow comes and with it NEW hope, NEW mercies, and MORE grace. You cannot run out of God like you run out of gas. He is always there waiting on ready to give you a "filler up" with His anointing when you are running on empty. When you don't know what to do, when you don't know what else you can say, when you don't know where your next step will take you-----Run to the secret place. The place of the anointing. Jesus Christ! He is the only SURE thing in our lives. He won't change, or go the other way when you need him the most. He is always there. You can trust in HIM. Run to the anointing. He IS the only hope we have!

Biography Information:
Lisa Mendenhall lives in Smackover, Arkansas with her husband of over 28 years, Chris. She has 4 grown children who also love the Lord, each serving Him in some capacity. As a teacher of the Word, Lisa, believes that she has a responsibility to use her God-given gift to teach those who have a desire to live victorious in Christ how to do so. She believes in order to live victoriously, one must get to know God and His character. His character is love. Therefore, Lisa has a heart-desire to bring people to a greater understanding of God's love. Her teachings explain that when His love is activated IN His children, it will motivate them to give just as His love motivated Him to give 'His only begotten Son', Jesus, to the world. God's wisdom does not always flow with the world's system of wisdom and His Word says, 'my people perish for lack of knowledge'. Lisa states, 'During meditation one day, I heard the word 'winnows'. With great curiosity, I learned it to mean,

'To separate the chaff from (grain) by means of a current of air. To rid of undesirable parts. To separate or get rid of (an undesirable part); eliminate: winnowing out the errors in logic. ...separate grain from chaff...separate the good from the bad...examine closely in order to separate the good from the bad; sift...' (www.dictionary.com) 'This study gave me direction and focus for my teaching.  God had placed a longing in my heart to teach the body of Christ how to separate from carnal thinking and rid themselves of old ways that hinder their Spiritual growth. I desire to see them live victoriously, by the 'higher ways' of God's wisdom.'
