Have you ever wondered if one day, you might finally come to the place where you have arrived at spiritual maturity? If the time will ever come when you won't have to struggle to overcome in areas of your life? Where you will have arrived on spiritual-easy-street? Well guess what? It ain't gonna happen! LOL Now I am not saying that you will not grow spiritually, or that you will not cease struggling in areas, but you will NEVER come to the place where you will be able to pull over to the side of the road or stop at a rest area in your spiritual walk and expect to maintain where you are, spiritually speaking.
God created us to continue to grow, ever increasing in our faith and in our walk to grow closer with Him. Thank God that we do grow up and we do outgrow some things, but we will always have a mountain to climb and our race to run. So if this is true, how do we keep from getting weary in the journey? How do we keep from wanting to throw our hands up and say to heck with this Christian walk? If I am never going to "arrive" why am I traveling? The truth is you will "arrive" when Jesus comes back but until then we have to walk the walk and not fall back. So again, HOW DO I DO IT AND NOT GIVE UP?
Let's look at 1 Corinthians 2:16. NKJV- For "who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?" But we have the mind of Christ. The Amplified says this; For who has known or understood the mind (the counsels and purposes) of the Lord so as to guide and instruct Him and give Him knowledge? But we have the mind of Christ (the Messiah) and do hold the thoughts (feelings and purposes) of His heart.
If you read this whole chapter(which I would suggest) it talks about having the wisdom of God which is not of this world and that we have not seen or heard the things which God has prepared for those who love Him. But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. Then goes on to say But we have the mind of Christ. Here is the answer for all the questions up above. In the Amplified it says we hold the thoughts feelings and purposes of His heart. We CAN think like the BIG MAN! We CAN have the thoughts of Christ. We CAN feel the way He feels in His heart (feel the way He does about things) and we CAN have the same purposes He has. Now think about this, IF I thought the way He does, felt the way He does, and had the same purposes He did, how does He think? How does He feel? What are His purposes?
He thinks that He paid a dear price for our salvation, healing, soundness of mind, preservation and protection. He thinks that His love covers a multitude of sins. He thinks that the truth will set us free. As a matter of fact the Bible is FULL of HOW He thinks! How does He feel? He has compassion, mercy, love, kindness, and a multitude more of GOOD feelings! What are His purposes? To get people to accept Him as Savior and live a life of victory WHILE on this earth. To set the captives free, heal the sick and again the Bible is FULL of His purposes!
What am I saying? That when we have the mind of Christ, (think like He thinks, feel like He feels, have the same purposes He has), we will stay encouraged, upbeat, uplifted, excited, full of His desires and plans, looking ahead to the coming of Jesus with expectancy and joy and maintaining our joy and hope while here. Why? Because thats the way He is and He said thats the way we can be. Doesn't that beat being all down in the mouth, depressed, anxious, worried and just plain frustrated? Are you making plans to start thinking like Jesus? Read about what He thinks, how He feels and what He desires and start putting it into practice in your own thinking! Be blessed! Lisa

God had placed a longing in my heart to teach the body of Christ how to separate from carnal thinking and rid themselves of old ways that hinder their Spiritual growth. I desire to see them live victoriously, by the 'higher ways' of God's wisdom.'
