WHAT EVIL DAY?(PART2)

Okay, so now we have established that we are unprepared for war, so lets see what we can do. My suggestion is RUN FOR THE HILLS! The hills of God that is! In Psalm 27:5 The Amplified Bible says, "For in the day of trouble He will hide me in His shelter; in the secret place of His tent will He hide me; He will set me high upon a rock." The New King James Version states, "For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock." Matthew Henry Commentary says this about verse 1, God is a light to his people, to show them the way when they are in doubt, to comfort and rejoice their hearts when they are in sorrow. It is in his light that they now walk on in their way, and in his light they hope to see light for ever. 2. "He is my salvation, in whom I am safe and by whom I shall be saved." 3. "He is the strength of my life, not only the protector of my exposed life, who keeps me from being slain, but the strength of my frail weak life, who keeps me from fainting, sinking, and dying away." God, who is a believer's light, is the strength of his life, not only by whom, but in whom, he lives and moves. In God therefore let us strengthen ourselves.

What is this secret place and how do we get to it? It is really simple. It is in His Presence! Psalm 31:20 states, "You shall hide them in the secret place of Your presence From the plots of man; You shall keep them secretly in a pavilion From the strife of tongues." Where is He hiding us? In the secret place of HIS PRESENCE! "With the covering of thy countenance" is the meaning of this phrase. His countenance is His face! You can be so hidden in God that your enemies cannot find you! The devil definitely does not like God's Presence. So where will you be safe? Where can you safely dwell while you prepare for battle, even in the middle of battle? I strongly encourage you to get in God's presence if you are facing a battle and you are not prepared. You can do this by praising and worshipping, praying and meditating his word. By just getting alone with God, getting still and quiet before Him, you can hear him speak to your heart regarding the battle plan you need. A good place to start is the very scriptures we just quoted. Study them out! There are weapons hidden for you in these scriptures. SO RUN FOR THE HILLS!

Biography Information:
Lisa Mendenhall lives in Smackover, Arkansas with her husband of over 28 years, Chris. She has 4 grown children who also love the Lord, each serving Him in some capacity. As a teacher of the Word, Lisa, believes that she has a responsibility to use her God-given gift to teach those who have a desire to live victorious in Christ how to do so. She believes in order to live victoriously, one must get to know God and His character. His character is love. Therefore, Lisa has a heart-desire to bring people to a greater understanding of God's love. Her teachings explain that when His love is activated IN His children, it will motivate them to give just as His love motivated Him to give 'His only begotten Son', Jesus, to the world. God's wisdom does not always flow with the world's system of wisdom and His Word says, 'my people perish for lack of knowledge'. Lisa states, 'During meditation one day, I heard the word 'winnows'. With great curiosity, I learned it to mean,

'To separate the chaff from (grain) by means of a current of air. To rid of undesirable parts. To separate or get rid of (an undesirable part); eliminate: winnowing out the errors in logic. ...separate grain from chaff...separate the good from the bad...examine closely in order to separate the good from the bad; sift...' (www.dictionary.com) 'This study gave me direction and focus for my teaching.  God had placed a longing in my heart to teach the body of Christ how to separate from carnal thinking and rid themselves of old ways that hinder their Spiritual growth. I desire to see them live victoriously, by the 'higher ways' of God's wisdom.'
