Weekly Wisdom Winnows

Have you ever thought about it? Why did God create you? Not man in general but YOU. What was God's plan and purpose for creating you? What is the race God has set before you specifically? I believe that God created each one of us with a certain goal and plan for our life. Some of us go through our whole life span without having a clue as to what it is. We are born, grow up, get married, have children, go to church, work, retire and live our whole life without fulfilling our destiny, most of the time not even knowing what it is. We just know we are miserable and do not understand why.
Life is one step at a time. I believe He shows us our destiny one step at a time too. But if we never take the first step, there is no sense in God showing us step number two. Have you ever wondered, "Why am I here? Why did you make me God?" Now, I am not saying every person is called to be a preacher, teacher, pastor or some other part of the five-fold ministry, but everyone of us is called to do something for God. It might be to be an awesome anointed mother or father. It might be to be an anointed janitor or maybe a mechanic. I believe that what ever you do in life, it should be something you enjoy doing. God made us to enjoy our calling. I don't mean that all of our life will be a joy ride but we should not hate what we are doing in life. If you hate where you are, either you are not walking out your destiny or you have gotten weary in well doing.
So how do you find out? It is not some big secret God is trying to keep from you. He wouldn't be a very nice daddy if He judged you for not doing what He called you to do but then make it impossible for you to find out what it is.

Seek God and His presence. Spend time with Him and get to know Him. You do this by turning off the TV, the radio, the busyness of life and isolate your self with the one who made your plan. Spend quality time with Him the way you would a favorite friend. God will honor this with direction for you life and how to follow it. He loves you and He wants you to know your destiny, your race that He has set before you.
I don't know about you but I would really like to know why I was put on this earth. I know it wasn't to be a punching bag for the devil. I know it wasn't to be a failure in life. I would really like to know that I have a purpose to my life. I don't want to go through the next 40 years wondering if I am doing what God wants, stumbling around in darkness hoping I am fulfilling the call of God on my life. I WANT TO KNOW FOR A FACT! I want to know the goal and the race set before me. How can I know I finished my race if I didn't know what kind of race I was in?
Prayer:
Father , as I spend time in your presence please prepare my heart to recieve the things you have for me. Prepare me to know what you have for me and to know the path of life I am to take for your glory. Help me to realize my race and to run it at a full pace until the very last breath I breathe. Don't let me get side tracked and off course. I love you and I desire to finish my race and fulfill my destiny. Thank you for showing me the path you have for me, In Jesus Name, Amen!
