Weekly Wisdom Winnows

In this life it is a rare thing to find a person who has died and then come back to life. It IS the exception and not the rule. Yes, it does happen. No, not to every person and no not to a lot of people. Just a few. I can't explain the whys and why-nots but I do know that it has happened and it will again. BUT don't bank on it happening to you! The odds are it ain't gonna happen. So….
When you die- you die! There are no second chances. We always here people say, "well, you only live once!" I am here to tell you, you only die once! A very wise man of God who was called by the name of Brother Lawrence once said, "We may have little time left to live. Death is always near, so be prepared- we only die once." How true this is.
How many people that you know are prepared for death? Now I am not talking about physically, financially or emotionally prepared. I am talking about spiritually prepared. When you die you are going one of two places, Heaven or hell. You get to pick which one you want to live eternally in. Yes, ETERNALLY, no second chances to live again and change anything. No second chances to come back and ask Jesus to come into your heart. No second chances to "get right with God". Most people have the mistaken impression that they can live their lives to the fullest, the way they want to(selfishly) and then right before they die or when they get older they can make the decision to "get saved" and serve God.
In the first place you may not make it to later on in life. If you are not born again and serving God the only other one you can be serving is the devil. And I am here to tell you , if you are not born again and serving God then you are OPEN PREY for the evil one and yes, he can take you out. You may have loved ones interceding for you and God's mercy keeping you here through their prayers. But that will only last for a season. Second of all, God will not strive with you forever. The word of God says that you can only come to Christ as He draws you. Now God is faithful and fair and He will draw you, again and again. Because He loves you and He paid an awful price for your salvation. But just because He gave His own son's life and blood for you does not give you an automatic ticket to heaven. You have to receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior into your heart.
I have a real fear that there are a lot of people that think they are saved who are not. Why do I say that? Because they have NEVER produced any fruit that shows them to be born again. Doesn't the word of God say that you shall know them by their fruit? You can't be a born again child of God and produce fruit from hell all of your life. The word of God says that out of the heart flow the issues of life. And out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. If you think you are born again but have never served God one day of your life since then and have never had any heart changes that produced outward changes, I think I would get on my face before God and MAKE SURE that I am truly saved. Once you die it is too late to find out then. You can't go back and change it. When it is over it is over.
I am not one to preach doom and gloom, but I do love people enough to want everyone to make it into the kingdom of God. I know that is not going to happen, but if this article challenges even one person to examine themselves to see if they are truly saved then Praise God, if just one gets saved! Jesus' precious blood was poured out for our right to be saved. But then again you have the same right to go to hell if you choose. I cannot imagine anyone willingly choosing to spend FOREVER in damnation and burning fire. Please examine yourself and see if you know Jesus Christ as Savior. You are not guaranteed tomorrow and you may not get it!

God had placed a longing in my heart to teach the body of Christ how to separate from carnal thinking and rid themselves of old ways that hinder their Spiritual growth. I desire to see them live victoriously, by the 'higher ways' of God's wisdom.'
