Bitterness
Date Posted: January 25, 2011

This is a highly important matter we have to see to and attend to.

Do not miss the grace of God. How can anyone willingly miss out on, or avoid, the grace and love and mercy of Almighty God? Yet many do, and do so deliberately.

There are times when God makes something available to us, and it is something of His mercy, or His grace, or something of His power, and we might never have that opportunity again, or be in that situation where we can make a specific positive decision.

There may be a decision which you have to make today, or over these next few days, and this is being placed in your heart by the grace of God, and by the resurrected and living Lord Jesus Christ.

We must never assume that we will be given another opportunity.

Linked to this is another matter we are to see to and attend to. Make sure that no bitter root grows up, which can cause trouble and defile many.

A bitter root, whatever that might be, does not only affect the individual, but can defile many.

Jesus taught that we are answerable for every idle or careless word which comes from our mouth.

We know how sin can spread. Bitterness and poison are close.

Bitterness can devastate a person spiritually, and can destroy a man physically.

Bitterness can spoil us emotionally, and divide our fellowship with one another, and ruin our relationship with God.

Bitterness can deprive a man from receiving the blessing of God.

Bitterness is a poison that can eat away at a man. It is so disruptive and destructive.

If you are disqualified you can never get back into that race, and bitterness can be a cause of disqualification.
