Word from Nairnshire

Well, the Cardinals have certainly blown off the lid, bringing a vital topic to the surface.

The enormous economic problems we have fallen into through irresponsible financial trading, lending and borrowing, resulting in critical and catastrophic debt, will pale in significance, compared to the mess society will end up in if the nation pursues the road of same sex marriage.

We have ignored what God has said regarding debt, and the price now being paid is high.

What an expensive penalty to pay for rejecting Almighty God and His ways.

Think of Greece and various other European nations teetering on the brink.

Is there a way out at this late stage?

Thirst for God. Seek His will and His ways. Is there any other answer?

God is a shelter and a shade and a hiding place when the storms come.

There may be one storm, but it looks as if there is going to be more than one.

Twenty years ago we redefined lending and borrowing and permitted what ought never to have been permitted, because there were people in charge who had no foundation, and thought all would be well.

Isaiah and Jeremiah preached for years warning the people of God of the dangers of living the way they were living. They paid no attention and were taken off to Babylon as prisoners for seventy years. That is a massive price to pay for rebellion.

When the same people, five hundred years later, rejected Jesus Christ, the Son of God, they were conquered by Rome, and lost their land for some two thousand years. That too is a high price to pay.

Almighty God is just as well as merciful.

He who is concerned, and who has ears to hear, let him hear.
