What a dilemma to be in. Your fiancé with whom you have had no intimate physical relationship is pregnant, and you are regarded as just and righteous in the eyes of God.

The time has come to put her away, as quietly as possible. You want no fuss.

It is all off and over, until God sends an angel to explain exactly what is happening.

In the most descriptive and detailed dream any man could have, Joseph is informed how Mary has become pregnant.

God is at the very heart of this miraculous and radical visitation. Joseph understandably becomes afraid as God draws personally close.

Fear can easily arise, and most need that fear dealt with. Fear could cause you to walk away, compromise, or hide.

God knows how to deal with our fears.

Mary will give birth to a son, and Joseph is to name him Jesus. Why? Because he will save his people from their sins.

Many want to be saved from messy situations, healed from sicknesses and pains, released and delivered from imprisoning circumstances, but Jesus Christ came primarily to save us from our sins.

The dream led to a decision, which made him take Mary as his wife, protect Jesus, and raise him through boyhood to manhood.

Almighty God plants His divine seed in a human womb, and prepares people to guard this gracious initiative.

The Creator was invading fallen creation.

Most missed the significance of what God was doing as He radically intervened and lovingly and compassionately stooped down to where we are so that we could be rescued and helped.

Only a few recognised the dramatic importance of what was taking place.

Do not miss what God is doing.

Do not miss what God has for you.
