Word from Nairnshire

If you think walking with God over a number of years is complex and challenging just try standing, or speaking out, regarding an important principle.

By yourself you can be an easy target for the enemy, or enemies, but in the strength of Jesus Christ, it is possible to stand and not give in.

Thousands of women and men around the world, imprisoned for their faith in these present times, refuse to compromise and succumb to the subtle pressures and attacks confronting them.

When it becomes known that you believe in Jesus Christ and that He is your Saviour and Lord, and that you believe the Bible to be the Word of God, some may consider you to be crazy. That can have its own peculiar, but very real pressure.

Various situations can suddenly appear to tempt, trap and topple you.

Millions have discovered over these past 2,000 years that when they stand, God does the strengthening. You can only experience that when you take that stand. Don’t expect the strength of God to come before you make that stand. It just doesn’t work that way, and God doesn’t just strengthen you once. He will do it again and again, every time you face that challenge.

Drawing upon the strength of God may take effort.

Praise and prayer and feeding upon His Word with an intensity you never previously had can be involved, but if you really want to stand, you can stand.

If some memory returns to haunt you, or you are reminded of an imperfect past, or a wave of loneliness almost overwhelms you, expect the living God to come close.

One man of God who knew all of that said, “I can do everything through him who gives me strength.”
