Extreme

Some Christians can be regarded as being a bit extreme, but it all depends upon one’s viewpoint.

In a day when many are wandering, or drifting, and even falling away, being extreme is not easy to define.

When it comes to spiritual commitment, many have discovered that there are probably only three basic problems.

Be regular at worship and participate willingly with sincerity and joy, and not simply out of duty.

Obedience to Jesus Christ and His word can speedily resolve various serious issues.

Giving, and serving, as God’s word guides deals with many other matters that can bother a man.

Some people battle with these for thirty or forty years, and if dealt with in the first month of coming to faith in Jesus Christ, or even sooner, an awful lot of anxiety, struggling and battling can be avoided.

That attractive man, classically called, the rich young ruler, who had such potential, dealt with these challenges within about five minutes.

When Jesus Christ asked him to do something he just said “No”, and walked away. Jesus did not go running after him.

Jesus made no attempt to modify His demands or regard him as special case offering compromised conditions.

It is always wise to pay the man. If that is what you ask for Jesus, there you are. If that is what you demand and expect of me, here you are.

When someone is struggling and battling spiritually, there is usually something they do not want to obey. There can be some commandment, or principle, against which they are rebelling.

It is never worth fighting, if it is the wrong fight.

Surrendering to Jesus inevitably means freedom, forgiveness, and joy!

When it comes to being extreme, there was no one more extreme than Jesus Christ.
