Injustice

Is there nothing our coalition Government can do to intercept and stop the returning obscene bonuses of bankers, and others, and channel these monies to the nurses and police?

In times of war, emergency measures have been introduced and legislation speedily passed.

Our present chaotic crisis is the consequence of reckless greed, and selfish mismanagement, with perhaps even a touch of pride at the dubious, but damaging, ‘success’.

Know, and remember, that Jesus Christ spoke about money more than any other one subject, because money speaks so much about us. He knew the hearts of men.

Jesus actually referred to taking it away from some and giving it to others. That is radical stuff. It is unwise to gag God.

Nehemiah dealt with the financiers. He did not trust them after their previous appalling behaviour, where they were lining their own pockets and penalising the poor.

Nehemiah had the guts to make them take a vow in front of others that they would not act so irresponsibly again. He knew how greed is like an economic cancer.

The love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, and our nation is currently reaping the harvest of that bad seed.

Godliness with contentment is great gain. This may be a waste of a column, because godliness comes first, and very few long to be godly.

People, who want to get rich, fall into temptation and a trap, and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction.

When men are eager for money, they wander away from the faith, and pierce themselves with many griefs.

But it is not only themselves who are pierced. Others can be severely hurt, and God detests injustice, no matter what form it takes.
