Word from Nairnshire
by Sandy Shaw
After a lengthy struggle, Pharaoh finally commands Moses to get the Hebrew slaves out of Egypt.
When the yeast of God is working there is nothing we can do to stop it, but there is also nothing we can do to make that yeast work.
The Hebrew people took their dough without yeast.
Imagine what would have happened if there had been yeast in the dough.
A lady was making bread and her oven broke down. She ended up taking the dough to her mother’s on the bus. It was a hot day. The yeast began to work, and the dough expanded. Her basin was soon overflowing. Try stopping it!
On that occasion in Egypt the yeast was working.
When Jesus Christ is working in a community, in a nation, in an area, anything can happen.
As soon as the Holy Spirit begins to move, people are suddenly influenced by Jesus Christ. That might be called revival. Was that what we experienced in the 1960’s and 70’s as Jesus Christ poured out the Holy Spirit?
Just think what the situation would be if it had not been for what Jesus did over that period.
It was noticed. Radio and television broadcast reports. Fountain Trust was raised up. Alpha was developed during that time. New Churches were birthed and launched. Much happened which was real and which has lasted.
When God moves everyone knows. Everyone is aware of it and there is a reaction. It is seen, witnessed, observed, examined, and the cry can frequently be, “Up, leave, go!”
When the yeast of the Holy Spirit is working there is nothing man can do to stop it, and there is nothing man can do to start it. That is up to Christ the King.
