What is the most important issue of the hour? It is a difficult one.

We are living in a time when we hear secular commentators say that things will never be the same again!

Believers in Jesus Christ in various parts of the world have been sensing that we are living in the final days. There is a mounting crisis.

Are we experiencing the shaking of which the letter to the Hebrew disciples speaks?

Perhaps the most important issue of these times has to do with having a faith that will last, and classically called ‘enduring faith’.

Will my faith endure what is coming, when intense trials and testings explode?

For the Church of Jesus Christ the main issue is not the details of the shakings, uncertainties and deceptions. It is not the matter of economic collapse or who is Prime Minister or President.

Jesus asked, “When the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?”

He asked this question having spoken about a persistent woman who pestered a judge until she received justice, and Jesus uses her persistence as an example of the type and quality of enduring faith for which He is looking.

In the parable of the sower Jesus speaks about those who have no root and only endure for a while.

When tribulation, serious problems, and persecution arise, because of the Word of God, some quickly fall away and vanish.

Paul spoke to Timothy quite powerfully at times telling him to endure hardness with us like a good soldier of Jesus Christ. Hardness indicates suffering difficult afflictions.

I trained you and discipled you. I prepared you for the spiritual battle.

Jesus taught that it is he who endures to the end who shall be saved or rescued.
