Word from Nairnshire

Set Your Mind
Date Posted: January 15, 2008

We do not precisely know what heaven is like, but we do know what it is not like, and what is not there.

There will be no more seas to cause havoc through hurricanes, typhoons, or killer tsunamis, but there will be a river of pure clear water proceeding out of the throne of Almighty God.

There will be no handkerchiefs in heaven because there will be no more tears. God will have wiped them all away. There will be no more funerals, parlours, coffins, caskets, and cemeteries and no more death, sorrow or crying.

There will be no more chemist shops where people collect their medicines; no more hospitals, doctors, nurses, ambulances, painkillers and suffering.

There will be no more fear; no more unbelief and abominable things; murders, lies, witchcraft. All involved in such practices will be thrown into the lake of fire.

With Jesus Christ preparing a place for disciples who remain faithful, you can be sure it will be something glorious.

There will be no cripples, blindness, deafness or decaying weaknesses, as we are promised new bodies.

There will be no clocks in heaven, because time shall be no more, and Christ will be the light.

A huge noisy multitude, including resurrected believers, will be praising God.

Those who were sawn in two will be whole again, as will be those who were beheaded, and those who were burned at the stake for their faith in Jesus Christ, will have no trace or scent of smoke.

Sinless praise and worship will arise from those who have been rescued and saved from addictions, drugs and alcohol.

Set your mind on things above because Jesus Christ is coming for those who long to be with Him.
