We are now well through the Islamic month of Ramadan, and one evening this week Muslims will spend much of the night saying prayers.

It is a time when many are open to the spiritual and the supernatural. Some believe in increased angelic activity and others in miracles and visions.

Over recent years many Christians have used these thirty days to pray for God’s sovereign intervention in the lives of Muslims.

Those participating are encouraged to pray for Muslim friends and acquaintances.

One cannot emphasise enough our total dependence upon the Holy Spirit, and as with all evangelism, manifesting the love of God through kindness and respect in our relationships is strongly stressed.

Everyone needs to hear about the experiences of people who have faith in Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

Personal testimony can play a vital role.

Tell people how God intervenes and works in your own life. Speak of His faithfulness, justice, and love.

Telling of how God has moved in your life can be more important than we sometimes realise.

When people are searching all over the place for spiritual reality, the story of how the risen Jesus has called you and led you and loved you, can have a transforming influence in the lives of spiritually hungry and thirsty men and women.

When objections arise, they are to be met with understanding and grace.

Many do not understand God as one who makes and keep promises, and one whom we can know.

Jesus taught that eternal life is to know God, and that is more than knowing certain things about Him. It involves knowing Him personally and enjoying an intimate relationship with Him.

Concerted and concentrated prayer for those seeking and searching could achieve and accomplish a lot.
