Word from Nairnshire

During the Passover, it was not enough that a lamb died. The people had to apply the blood to their doors.

Although Jesus Christ died for the sins of the world, each individual has to apply that saving, cleansing, protecting blood.

I cannot do that for you, no more than Moses could do it for them.

To be safe and secure, the blood of Jesus Christ must be applied.

Inside each house there was total safety. Stay in the security of the shelter.

Moses believed God, and the people believed Moses.

They were not only to kill the lamb, but they were to eat its flesh. You have got to go further than the blood.

Yes, it is vital that they were covered, protected and saved by the blood of the lamb, but they had to feed upon the lamb.

They have to be in the lamb, and the lamb has to be in them.

Why had they to do this? Because they were going on a journey.

They were told how to eat as pilgrims ready for a journey, wearing your coat and your sandals.

There was a sense of urgency. Be nourished now in the safety of your house, because things are going to move soon.

The blood of the lamb will be sufficient for your security and protection, but your strength will be in the flesh of the lamb.

The blood will save you, but for the journey, for service, for ministry, you will need food. Eat and be strong.

We begin with the blood, but strength comes from feeding upon the Word.

Eat all of it and you will be strong, not in your own strength or power, but as a result of what God provides and supplies.
