Can God Get Glory from My Life?

    by Dominique Henderson

Totally Dependent on God and Independent of Myself

Have you ever been punched in the stomach? Do you remember that awful feeling? It is a pain so unique because of the state in which you find yourself. I find it surprising that among other sensations, there is a loss of breath. A good blow to that area will even make you gasp. Well for those of you that have not had that experience, what in life has caused you to gasp. What has caused a sudden loss of breath in your life? Where am I going with all this? I am learning (even with an experience as recent as this week) that God is still present in that moment of loss. When even I lose control of something that I think I am in control of—my breath of all things—he is still there. He is imminent. He is in control even when I am not. When I cannot trust myself to get out of a situation, my God that is not bound by space or time (thank you Trey Graham from 1Melissa Church in Texas) is there. He is not confined by what he can do but what he chooses to do. Therefore, I can rest assured that if I am in his will I will be taken care of by El-Shaddai (The Almighty). So as I write this today my friend I ask you to be encouraged that if you serve the same Almighty God that has revealed a portion of his nature through his son Jesus Christ who was crucified, buried and rose on the 3day with all power; left this Earth to sit at the right hand of the Father and intercede on our behalf and has in his wonderful wisdom left the Comforter to guide us in all truth, then you are in good hands. You have placed your trust in the Almighty and you can never be put to shame (see Psalm 5:11;31:1;91:1) This day declare to be independent of the power you think you have to control your life and be totally dependent on your God, your Father the Almighty who rules and reigns forever and ever. Amen!
