'Christ in You...'

About Your Destiny
Date Posted: September 13, 2015

Everyone would like to know their destiny.

For this reason, a Christian strives to do what is right in the sight of God. Although impossible to be right before God in the flesh, we are to acknowledge our unrighteousness before God in repentance, and then we are considered righteous in His sight.

However, our confession and repentance does not set us right before Him. It is not our heartfelt sorrow and repentance before God that makes us right again. Our repentance is never perfect because we can never be perfect in ourselves - even after repentance. Our own imperfection prevents perfect repentance. This is simply because we, of ourselves, can never present the righteousness before God that He requires. It will always be imperfect.

The catch is this: since God requires PERFECT righteousness. this perfection can only be found as we are in His perfect Son. If we present ourselves in and through Him, the Father will accept us as being righteous, because of our being in His perfect Son. Those who believe in and trust Him are considered righteous.

Our own imperfect repentance and righteousness is accounted as perfect because of our faith and trust in Jesus Christ.

Christ considers us blameless until...until we catch up to His righteousness. During the process, He will keep us from stumbling, and His shed blood continuously cleanses us of all sin (Jude 24).

Your destiny is a matter of God's providence. Do you ever feel unimportant, ignored, or neglected? If one or all of these is true of you, here is some very encouraging news, even though you are now outside of the atonement through Jesus Christ. God knew you - all about you - before you were born. Even before your parents were born! Even before the earth was created! And before the universe was born!

You were planed for by God's omnipotence. That is how special you are. That is your destiny. This is the abiding truth that should make every human being shout for joy. The unbelievable is now believable if you come to Jesus. You may need help to believe this, but He will enable you to believe. This is the reason you exist.

Of course the operative word is, like so many things, is the word "if".

You were planned for and that which concerns you was known, and brought into the framework of who you are. I pray that by realizing this, you will become a Christian now. If you are reading this, you are being predestined - to believe in Jesus Christ unto eternal life with God and others appointed for salvation from eternity. You can come to Jesus Christ because God the Father is leading you to Him. Your part in your destiny is to allow the Father to lead you to believe in and trust in Jesus Christ.

"And He said, This is why I told you that no one can come to Me unless it is granted him [unless he is enabled to do so] by the Father." (John 6:65) You are being enabled as you read these words.

Will you allow yourself to believe, so you can be led by the Father to come to Jesus? Will you allow God the Father to complete your destiny?

God is not a God of coincidence. He knows and knew all things now and eternity past and the future.

Will you let Him to fulfill your destiny to live forever?

"Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle (meek) and humble (lowly) in heart, and you will find rest (relief and ease and refreshment and recreation and blessed quiet) for your souls. For My yoke is wholesome (useful, good—not harsh, hard, sharp, or pressing, but comfortable, gracious, and pleasant), and My burden is light and easy to be borne." - Matthew 11:29-30
