'Christ in You...'

Judgment Day
Date Posted: January 8, 2017

There are millions who have no idea of a final judgment day for them. They simply believe that "when it's over, it's over" for them. They believe they will just be dead in an unconscious, unaware sleep called death.

How very sad.

And how very surprised when they find themselves standing before Jesus Christ, conscious and alive - until their judgment is completed, and sentence is handed down.

But before this, there is coming a time on this earth that is very difficult to believe in this present age. Today's world events are just "the beginning of sorrows". The ultimate punishment of all of mankind, unimaginable sorrows and pain are to come, before Jesus comes (Revelation 9)

But prior to the events revealed in Revelation 9, there will occur a time of almost universal disbelief that anything catastrophic can occur. Many will be asleep as to the real conditions of the world. Many will believe that safety and prosperity will continue. Notice the Apostle Paul's revelation concerning these times that escalate more with each passing year. It will be difficult to believe until events force mankind to realize something very vicious and dangerous is afoot. The world will be oblivious to the powder kegs it is sitting on:

"For you yourselves know perfectly well that the day of the [return of the] Lord is coming just as a thief [comes unexpectedly and suddenly] in the night. When people are saying, All is well and secure, and, There is peace and safety, then in a moment unforeseen destruction (ruin and death) will come upon them as suddenly as labor pains come upon a woman with child; and they shall by no means escape, for there will be no escape.

But you are not in [given up to the power of] darkness, brethren, for that day to overtake you by surprise like a thief. For you are all sons of light and sons of the day; we do not belong either to the night or to darkness. Accordingly then, let us not sleep, as the rest do, but let us keep wide awake (alert, watchful, cautious, and on our guard) and let us be sober (calm, collected, and circumspect)". - 1 Thessalonians 5:2-6

As the threat of worldwide intrigue and manipulation of events increase, there will be threats to the earth and mankind of cataclysmic events in nature, the heavens, and struggles between nation and peoples that will be very difficult to deal with. People will begin to resent the genuine Christian, and betray each other out of fear and personal circumstance. Self preservation will become the ultimate motive. Jesus explains:

"And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars; see that you are not frightened or troubled, for this must take place, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in place after place; All this is but the beginning [the early pains] of the birth pangs of the intolerable anguish.

Then they will hand you over to suffer affliction and tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. And then many will be offended and repelled and will begin to distrust and desert [Him Whom they ought to trust and obey] and will stumble and fall away and betray one another and pursue one another with hatred. And many false prophets will rise up and deceive and lead many into error.

And the love of the great body of people will grow cold because of the multiplied lawlessness and iniquity, But he who endures to the end will be saved. And this good news of the kingdom (the Gospel) will be preached throughout the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then will come the end." - Matthew 24:6 -14 (AMP)

What can the genuine Christian's attitude be when these times come?

Endure and remain faithful...because the judgment of the world by Jesus Christ is imminent. When the world crisis is over, when Jesus returns, the true Christian has nothing to fear, whether alive or resurrected when He comes.

The is the reason true Christians can always say:

"Come Lord Jesus!"
