'Christ in You...'

One World

Since the time that Satan was cast out of heaven, he has been orchestrating and manipulating the world....unseen and silent - except for what can be seen as the results of his activity. However, the world in the main does not make the connection. It sees only the results. This has always been true. In all world affairs, in the lives of all peoples, Satan and his minions have influenced and controlled this world.

But as a paradox, he really is not in control.

He can only do that which God via the Holy Spirit allows. In past ages prior to the first coming of Jesus Christ, angelic hosts functioned as invisible and the controlling power, on earth except for those times when they were manifested in order to intervene in events that God saw fit to alter and/or control. The earth was inhabited by the invisible legions of holy angels, carrying out the will of God in a Godless world.

When Jesus came to earth, born of the virgin Mary, He became not only the Saving hope of the world, but the future Ruler of the earth. After His death and resurrection, a tremendous change was made regarding the unseen powers of the world.

It all began on the Day of Pentecost after His resurrection and ascension to heaven.

On that special day of Pentecost, Jesus honored His promise to send "another Comforter", the other member of the Godhead - the Holy Spirit. Although holy angels were to remain on the earth, their primary function is now somewhat different from before that day of Pentecost. The Holy Spirit can now take up residence in the spirit in us, as we turn from our own way, and commit to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. Angels will still have a function as guardians of individuals who believe in Jesus Christ.

The whole world passed into another era with Jesus Christ's sacrifice, and the subsequent indwelling of individuals who believe in and accept Jesus as their savior. Along with the guarantee of eternal life for individuals, the Holy Spirit became the member of the Godhead primarily responsible for gagging and limiting Satan's activity - holding back, or limiting the evil activities of Satan in order that God the Father's timetable for humanity to be on schedule.

Angels now are the principle agents of God assigned to protect those who are called and chosen for eternal salvation. The Holy Spirit primarily works inside us. Angels primarily work outside of us in many different ways. The Holy Spirit, who is primarily God the Father's instrument for holding back or speeding up the development of human affairs leading to the glorious return of Jesus with all power and authority.

This will result in the world's evil being crushed, Satan confined, and a new world "wherein dwells righteousness".

Prior to this wonderful world becoming a reality, the world lead by Satan and his minions will rule the world through an evil worldwide government, such as has never been before. Unless Jesus does return to take over world affairs, the world would face complete destruction. When He comes, He will destroy all evil power, and eventually turn the world into a paradise that is indescribable and unimaginable.

Until then, we will live increasingly in a dangerous "one world" mentality, that is shrinking our world with each passing day.

"This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, high minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away."- 2 Timothy 3:1-5 (KJV)
