'Christ in You...'

Some Other Day
Date Posted: February 11, 2018

It is easy to say to ourselves, when we are busy with life’s demands and obligations, that a word, or a deed we know we should fulfill just seems to drift by.

Lost in the business of a mind filled with daily personal care, and the world’s constant demands on our minds and our time. This is the world. The world we all must respond to in some way, every day.

Oh! the business of this indiscernible something called life!

Life can become so complicated and obligatory that time seems to fly…hours turn into days; days become compacted into what we call weeks that we long to escape the days. But…usually, when Monday rolls around, the ask ourselves “where did the weekend go?”! The shock of Monday can become so dreaded that someone has renamed it “Blue Monday”.

Another someone has penned a melody that says “Rainy days and Mondays get me down…”.

Regardless of the age you may be now, if you live, the days, months, and years become decades. At some point of this time frame, as all must all deal with our increasing age.

And we commence to be struck by a fact that we least want to deal with.

We are getting older…faster than we realized.

And…eventually it dawns on us that we wonder how many times can we say to ourselves, how many “some other days” do we have to do what we know we should have already done?

That arch old enemy has crept up on us. You know…the one we have always entertained and procrastinated for a long time…maybe many years.

Procrastination. Its seldom noticed when we are preoccupied with the perceived necessities of living. But eventually come to grips with old procrastination,

There is little time left to experience him - old Mr. Procrastination.

But he knows that you and I should have taken care of some decisions, and not turn it all over to him.

It is easy in the early days of our acquaintance with him. But the times of life grow shorter for him to function as we did at one time.

Now we must do that which we let him handle for so long.

You and I must decide to appeal to Jesus Christ to help us blot out our procrastination tendency.

“Take care, brothers and sisters, that there not be in any one of you a wicked, unbelieving heart [which refuses to trust and rely on the Lord, a heart] that turns away from the living God. 13But continually encourage one another every day, as long as it is called “Today” [and there is an opportunity], so that none of you will be hardened [into settled rebellion] by the deceitfulness of sin [its cleverness, delusive glamour, and sophistication]. 14For we [believers] have become partakers of Christ [sharing in all that the Messiah has for us], if only we hold firm our newborn confidence [which originally led us to Him] until the end> ‘ - Hebrews 3:12-14 (AMP)

There may be "some other day"...but then again, there may not.
