'Christ in You...'

When you become a believer in Jesus Christ as your Savior, the guilt of your past sin that condemned you is blotted out by the shed blood of Christ.
Now, the Holy Spirit begins to live in you, and begins a new creation - a new you!
While you are in the flesh, the Holy Spirit begins to cleanse you of every sinful tendency by the shed blood of Jesus - sinful thoughts, sinful mind images, words and actions that are unholy. Wrong sights and images that your eyes have seen in the past, that are unholy and sinful are made to be as if they never were.
Your guilt is now gone because of the shed blood of Christ. They are cleansed and washed away. Now, by the Holy Spirit in you, you become an overcomer of those sinful habits, and you can now successfully resist sinful temptations. By the Spirit, you begin to put to death your sinful nature and tendencies to give in to those deeds of the flesh.
Only after you begin to put your sinful nature to death will you begin to truly find life. It is like being born anew.
Sinful words that you have heard and hear that can corrupt you and mitigate against the image of Christ who is being form in you, are blotted out progressively by the Holy Spirit until they do not enter your mind any more. The work of the Holy Spirit continues as long as you are yielded to Him.
The work of the Spirit continues until you are instantly made a born child of God at the return of Jesus. Your natural mind begins to develope and have a spiritual orientation toward all things as the Spirit works in your mind, spirit, and soul. Thus, the Holy Spirit was, and now is, with you, and will be in you forever! Now you are a begotten child of God the Father Himself!
But the work of the Spirit has only begun.
When you have surrendered to Jesus Christ without reservation, the Holy Spirit begins to clean up not only your past (it has been forgiven...), but He begins to form the righteousness of Christ in you.
He will slowly remove past sin effects that provoked your conscience to repent and be willing to be changed, and replace them with positive outgoing deeds of love and righteousness.
The result of the process is a complete "new creation" in Jesus Christ. You are living in Him. And He is living in you.
You have become a new creation, ready to be made immortal. And He will never forsake you or leave you to deal with old habits and future temptation and trials alone. He will always be with you until you can be with Him forever...
"Therefore if any person is [engrafted] in Christ (the Messiah) he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old [previous moral and spiritual condition] has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come!" - 2 Corinthians 5:17
