'Christ in You...'

I know an evangelist like no other I have ever known or ever herd of before I met him.

Many years ago he was a member of a moticycle groupwho traveled all over America. This he did for many of his younger years. Somehow, I know not how for sure, he was changed - in a big way. Athough he continued to love the motorcycle life, God choose for him another endeavor. One like none other I had ever heard of at that time.

My knowledge of this man and his new life began abouit 10 years ago in the restaurant area of a large Mall. While sitting in the waiting area reading, I glanced up when and noticed a man headed straight for me that I did not recognize. I was almost running toward me. With a smile, he reached out his had to shake mind, and as he did so, he said excitedly "you are a Christian are'nt you!"

Rather shocked, I respondedly hesitantly, "well, yest I am...". I will shorten a rather long story by saying that we became friends immediately ande continued meeting each other at that Mall for many years. During this time, he related to me the story of man who had his life turned upside down, from his motorcycle years, etc. Somehow, God had turned his desires and lifestyle into a passion for people who dying - no matter where they might be. God had knocked him of his motorcycle, and plunged him into a most unusual personal ministry for Jesus Christ.

During all the years I have known him, he has travelled far and near, by car, or bus, or plane to anywhere he could get to to visit terminal cases in hospitals, nursing homes, or private homes. to witness for Jesus Christ. Somehow, he was able to visit the dying by their bedside and ask of they believed in Jesus Christ. Immediately upon standing or sitting by the bedside of the dying, he would explain the way to eternal life by believing in Jesus Christ as their savior.

He never "preached" as we understand it, but only asked if the would believe in Jesus Christ so that after they die, they would life forever. The words and approace varied depending on the circumstances of the visit. Often he would hear their answer in just a few seconds of minutes depending on the circumstances of the dying. If they answered in the affirmative. He would comfort and encourage them, and assuring them that they need not worry, they have eternal life by believing in Jesus Christ to save them. They will live forever

Many confessed sins, many just acknowledge positively that now truly believe in Jesus as their savior. Some would not.

Since this began, he has travelled great distances to pray for and encourage the dying, all the country. I eventually lost contact with him due to his many travels, but not long ago we visited by phone. He informed me that he was leaving again shortly to visit the dying at some far away place. He needed to catch a plane. After our phone visit, I wished him success and safety. He simply replied, "I know I will...because you will be praying for me
!"

Its been some time since I have heard from him, but I'm sure God is continuing in using him to save many for eternal life before its too late

What a marvelous ministry indeed.

Do you believe in Jesus Christ as your savior yet? Don't wait too long...he may not get to you.
