There is a limit to the time allotted for humanity to repent, believe and yield to the changing power and striving of the Holy Spirit; to believe, overcome, and receive eternal life.

"My Spirit will NOT ALWAYS strive with man..." (Genesis 6:3) Truly, "time changes everything".as the song goes. As Solomon stated that "there is a time for everything under the sun...", there is a time for grace. But as there is a time for everything, there also must be an end of everything regarding humanity. There is a time for you and me. If you are reading these words, you - and me - are in the midst of our times.

Most people take their lives for granted. This is the natural and purely human thing to do. This world has been set up to preoccupy all mankind with the business of the world in which we have been born into. None of us had a choice in our family, where and when we were born into a ready-made world and circumstance. At birth, we were all handed a set of circumstances that we did not ask for, but which we must deal with and also, be responsible for as far as it depends on us. God holds us accountable, but with it He extends grace into our existence as we grow and become adults, with all the busyness of what we were born into and must deal with.

Along with this mix of time (and seeming chance), we become aware of an obligation to something greater than our existence. Many become more and more aware in the recesses of their minds that this thing called life as we know it cannot go on forever. They are getting older each day. And each day calls for a subtle feeling that they eventually will not be able to control everything in their lives. Slowly they begin to realize that what they have, what they experience - good and bad - will not be allowed to go on indefinitely.

For many generations God allowed humanity to go its own way, with His intervention at various points, mostly to prevent mankind from destroying himself before His plan was completed. God's plan was to have children of His own, becoming over a planned time, in His likeness. But because of mankind's fall in the Garden, in order to complete His plan, something must be added to satisfy His purpose and also His justice. God is perfect. And His children also must be - or rather become - perfect also.

Most Christians know much of this story - how the justice of God demanded that someone pay for the rebellion and plague of something called sin. Sin that was and is the very antithesis of God and perfect goodness. Jesus, as God in the flesh, came to the earth, paid for the rebellions of mankind that were unrealized by mankind. By giving up His life, Jesus saved the life of mankind from a just death.

The mechanism of this mysterious process is something called "grace". This almost undefinable thing called grace was put in place when Jesus died on the cross - the undeserved forgiveness of God to His wayward creation - mankind. Grace began when God formed man from the dust of the earth. Grace was been the rule for the forgiveness and the growth of those offered this grace upon genuine repentance and faith, for a long time.

However, there "is a time for everything under the sun". There is this time of grace which we who belong to Christ trust in constantly. But there will come a time when grace will end. For those who have rejected God's call for repentance and growth out of sin, there will suddenly be no more grace. Everything and everyone must end - as they are. If you should die without repentance and belief in Jesus Christ, there is also no more grace for you.
For you, you will be judged by Him as you were when you died.

I know these are strong words. But they are true.

In view of this truth, how much more surrendered and submitted, and determined to grow in grace and knowledge should we as Christians be? Stay submissive. Yield to Jesus. Surrender to Him with your heart, while you can.

Some day, this time called "grace" will end. No more time to overcome that weakness. No more time to rid your life of that sin. The end of grace will come upon someone, someday, when the end of all things comes and God judges the world for it's rebellion against Him.

Thank God for His grace which is still in force and granted to all who will repent and come to Jesus in faith!

"And he [further] told me, Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book and make no secret of them, for the time when things are brought to a crisis and the period of their fulfillment is near. He who is unrighteous (unjust, wicked), let him be unrighteous still; and he who is filthy (vile, impure), let him be filthy still; and he who is righteous (just, upright, in right standing with God), let him do right still; and he who is holy, let him be holy still.
